Production of gold unwrought or in powder form for non-monetary use in Portugal: Decrease in 2017

According to statistics announced by European Commission, the indicator decreased by 12.94 percent compared with the previous year. Gold production diminished by 241 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it dropped by 24.14 percent. The overall changes for the previous 10 years hit a raise of 418.21%. However, it has attained a negative average annual growth rate of 0.16 percent over the last five years with a negligible overall rise since the start of observations. It averaged 2 362.5 kilogram from 2008 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 6 156 kilogram in 2012 and record low of 313 kilogram in 2008.
