Import of live fish to Malta rises in 2016

In 2016 the indicator climbed sharply by 87.84%, new data from United Nations Statistical Office reveal. Fish import greatly went up from 2 813 087 kilogram in 2015 to 5 284 131 kilogram prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it increased by 12.32%. Malta saw a raise of 95.85% in fish import during the last 13 years. Furthermore, it has had a 0.19 percent CAGR during the last 5 years with a modest overall decrease since the start of time series. It averaged 3 063 868.15 kilogram from 2004 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 7 272 475 kilogram in 2007 and record low of 663 818 kilogram in 2011.
