Export of broken or scutched flax fibre from Russia: Decline in 2017

Vegetable fibre export decreased sharply by 70.85 percent in comparison with the year before, refreshed statistics from United Nations Statistical Office demonstrate. The indicator greatly dropped from 617 361 kilogram in 2016 to 179 967 kilogram previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it diminished by 24.94%. Russia saw a growth of 156.01% in vegetable fibre export during the last 22 years. Still it has attained a diminution at a 0.12% CAGR over the 5 years with a slight overall fall since the start of time series. It averaged 544 917.27 kilogram from 1996 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 3 876 796 kilogram in 2002 and record low of 241 kilogram in 2010.
