Sales of frozen fish fillets in Italy: Diminution in 2016

Compared to the previous year the indicator negligibly decreased by 1.25%, adjusted statistics from European Commission indicate. Fish sales hardly fell by 65 thousand kilograms, contrarily to the prior year when it grew by 71.56 percent. Italy saw a rise of 126.36% in fish sales over the past 22 years. Likewise, it has had the average annual growth rate of 0.19 percent over the 5 years with a modest overall decline since the 1995. It averaged 4 322.45 thousand kilograms from 1995 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 7 497 thousand kilograms in 2006 and record low of 1 910 thousand kilograms in 2009.
