Import of roses to Egypt drops in 2017

United Nations Statistical Office reported that in comparison with the previous year cut flower import went down by 10.05%. The indicator fell from 105 063 to 94 503.52, versus the prior year when it increased by 26.05 percent. Egypt saw a decline of 22.68% in cut flower import over the past 16 years. Besides, it has attained a 0.92 percent compound average annual growth rate over the last 5 years with a slight overall decrease since the start of time series. It averaged 67 592.1 from 2002 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 434 395 in 2006 and record low of 3 602 in 2013.
