Import of unbleached or bleached woven twill containing 85% or more by weight of polyester staple fibres, mixed mainly or solely with cotton, of a weight not exceeding 170 g/m2 to India goes up in 2017

Woven fabric import increased greatly by 747.64% compared to the prior year, according to data announced by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator strongly went up by 21 359.95 kilogram, in comparison with the previous year when it dropped by 34.52 percent. India saw an increase of 265.54% in woven fabric import over the past 21 years. However, it has had a negative CAGR of 0.06 percent during the last five years with a marginal overall raise since the 1997. It averaged 7 318.9 kilogram from 1997 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 33 284 kilogram in 2013 and record low of 384 kilogram in 2010.
