Value added of financial investment services, funds and other financial vehicles in Canada rises in June 2018

In comparison with the prior month the variable rose hardly by 0.33%, refreshed statistics from Canada National Statistical Office highlight. The indicator negligibly climbed by 73 million Canadian Dollars, as it follows the tendency of the previous month when it grew by 0.57%. When looking at the prior year, it can be observed that the variable was decreasing by -1.05 percent and hit 22 811 million Canadian Dollars in June. When considering the year-on-year situation, a -1.96% fall can be announced between June 2017 and June of the year after. Canada saw a growth of 225.58% in financial services value added over the past 21 years. Compared to its average, the financial services value added is now greater as the mean equals 14 857.32 million Canadian Dollars with a modest overall rise since the start of observations. It reached its all-time high of 23 105 million Canadian Dollars in February 2018 and record low of 6 869 million Canadian Dollars in January 1997.
