Value added of financial investment services, funds and other financial vehicles in Canada: Rise in April 2018

In comparison with the prior month the indicator hardly climbed by 0.02 percent, new statistics from Canada National Statistical Office display. Financial services value added negligibly grew by 5 million Canadian Dollars, compared with the previous month when it went down by 4.02%. When examining the prior year, it can be diagnosed that the variable was increasing by 1.11 percent and reached 22 488 million Canadian Dollars in April. When taking into account the year-on-year situation, a -2% diminution can be observed between April 2017 and the same month in 2018. The overall changes for the prior 21 years hit a rise of 220.83%. Likewise, the financial services value added is now higher than its average which equals 14 799.15 million Canadian Dollars with a marginal overall growth since the start of observations. It attained its all-time high of 22 955 million Canadian Dollars in February 2018 and record low of 6 869 million Canadian Dollars in January 1997.
