Import of live horses except pure-bred breeding to Brazil grows in 2017

According to revised statistics issued by United Nations Statistical Office, the indicator strongly climbed by 31.9 percent compared with the prior year. Horses import increased greatly by 4 945 kilogram, in contrast to the previous year when it decreased by 62.01 percent. Brazil saw a drop of 88.41% in horses import over the past 29 years. Furthermore, it has shown a negative CAGR of 0.31 percent over the five years with a slight overall fall since the 1989. It averaged 111 307.38 kilogram from 1989 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 638 562 kilogram in 1991 and record low of 15 500 kilogram in 2016.
