Import of coniferous wood in chips or particles to Turkey declines in 2017

Wood product import decreased by 22.31 percent in comparison with the previous year, according to statistics published by United Nations Statistical Office. The variable dropped by 354 710 912 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it went down by 20.44%. The overall changes for the prior 27 years reached a growth of 19 054.31%. Still it has had a drop at a 0.02% compound average annual growth rate over the last five years with a modest overall increase since the 1991. It averaged 475 893 225.7 kilogram from 1991 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 1 998 347 392 kilogram in 2015 and record low of 768 kilogram in 2003.
