Import of frozen, dried, salted or in brine cuttlefish and squid to Antigua and Barbuda falls in 2016

According to figures presented by United Nations Statistical Office, cuttlefish import decreased greatly by 81.94% compared with 2015. The indicator dropped sharply by 12 181 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it diminished by 33.1 percent. The overall changes for the prior 18 years reached a increase of 454.75%. However, it has shown a drop at a 0.34 percent compound annual growth rate over the five years with a marginal overall growth since the 1999. It averaged 12 878.22 kilogram from 1999 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 35 857 kilogram in 2009 and record low of 86 kilogram in 2000.
