Iron ore production, gross weight, in New Zealand goes down in 2014

According to updated numbers published by U.S. Geological Survey, iron ore production diminished by 23.98% in 2014. The variable declined from 3 157 thousand tonnes in 2013 to 2 400 thousand tonnes prior year, versus the previous year when it climbed by 31.82 percent. New Zealand saw a raise of 13.21% in iron ore production over the past 17 years. Likewise, the iron ore production is now bigger than its average which equals 2 221.53 thousand tonnes and the indicator indicates a marginal overall increase since the start of observations. It reached its all-time high of 3 157 thousand tonnes in 2013 and record low of 1 636 thousand tonnes in 2001.
