Import of patent leather and metallised leather to Madagascar: Diminution in 2016

The indicator strongly diminished by 71.05% compared with the prior year, according to revised data announced by United Nations Statistical Office. The variable dropped sharply by 27 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it went down by 42.42 percent. Madagascar saw a drop of 94.12% in import of patent leather and metallised leather during the last 27 years. Furthermore, it has had a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.62 percent over the last 5 years with a marginal overall rise since the 1990. It averaged 915.44 kilogram from 1990 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 9 322 kilogram in 2007 and record low of 10 kilogram in 1992.
