Import of base metals or silver clad with gold to Iceland: Rise in 2016

The variable sharply climbed by 500% in comparison with the previous year, according to numbers released by United Nations Statistical Office. Silver import increased strongly from 2 kilogram in 2015 to 12 kilogram prior year, contrarily to the previous year when it went down by 88.89 percent. Iceland saw a growth of 20% in silver import during the last 29 years. However, it has had a fall at a 0.38% average annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a marginal overall diminution since the start of time series. It averaged 120.14 kilogram from 1988 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 1 313 kilogram in 2002 and record low of 2 kilogram in 2015.
