Production of salt suitable for human consumption in Spain rises in 2017

The variable hardly grew by 1.03 percent in comparison to 2016, according to updated statistics published by European Commission. Condiment production rose slightly by 339 000 kilogram, in contrast to the previous year when it declined by 40.54%. Spain saw a decline of 32.44% in condiment production during the last 8 years. Likewise, it has had a negative average annual growth rate of 0.15% during the five years with a negligible overall diminution since the start of time series. It averaged 49 632 125 kilogram from 2010 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 73 352 000 kilogram in 2013 and record low of 32 784 000 kilogram in 2016.
