Re-export of paper handkerchiefs, cleansing, facial tissues and towel from Mauritius: Increase in 2016

Consumer goods export rose by 17.74 percent in comparison with 2015, new data from United Nations Statistical Office pinpoint. Consumer goods export increased from 8 471 kilogram to 9 974 kilogram, in contrast to the prior year when it dropped by 58.62%. Mauritius saw an increase of 109.32% in consumer goods export during the last 16 years. Still it has attained a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.16% during the last five years with a slight overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 8 512 kilogram from 2001 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 27 613 kilogram in 2013 and record low of 424 kilogram in 2010.
