Import of crude palm kernel or babassu oil to Chile goes down in 2016

United Nations Statistical Office published that the indicator went down strongly by 93.14% compared to the previous year. Palm oil import greatly diminished by 297 454 kilogram, in contrast to the previous year when it climbed by 48.91 percent. The overall changes for the prior 21 years attained a diminution of 56.2%. Furthermore, it has had a negative average annual growth rate of 0.03 percent during the five years with a negligible overall rise since the start of observations. It averaged 39 485.1 kilogram from 1996 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 319 354 kilogram in 2015 and record low of 4 kilogram in 2009.
