Import of 2-furaldehyde (furfuraldehyde) to Malaysia declines in 2017

According to new statistics presented by United Nations Statistical Office, compared to the prior year organic chemicals import went down sharply by 86.71%. The indicator fell strongly by 14 267.56 US Dollar, in contrast to the previous year when it went up by 913.86%. Malaysia saw an increase of 232.94% in organic chemicals import during the last 29 years. Still it has shown a diminution at a 0.56% average annual growth rate during the five years with a marginal overall raise since the 1989. It averaged 13 885.19 US Dollar from 1989 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 139 660 US Dollar in 2013 and record low of 464 US Dollar in 1991.
