Import of coal gas and water gas to Canada falls in 2017

United Nations Statistical Office published that the indicator strongly dropped by 76 percent in 2017. Coal import greatly decreased from 33 192 US Dollar in 2016 to 7 965.2 US Dollar prior year, contrarily to the previous year when it went up by 557.01 percent. Canada saw a fall of 74.11% in coal import over the past 29 years. Moreover, it has shown an increase at a 0.49 percent compound average annual growth rate over the last 5 years with a slight overall drop since the start of observations. It averaged 31 282.59 US Dollar from 1989 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 108 298 US Dollar in 1996 and record low of 247 US Dollar in 2009.
