National defense stockpile stocks of high-carbon ferrochromium, chromium content in United States declines in 2015

According to refreshed figures released by U.S. Geological Survey, chromium stock fell by 14.29% in comparison with the previous year. It's the lowest number in its history since 2003 as chromium stock went down from 52 500 metric ton to 45 000 metric ton, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it dropped by 13.65%. The overall changes for the previous 13 years hit a decline of 86.65%. Besides, it has shown a diminution at a 0.08 percent compound annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a slight overall drop since the start of time series. It averaged 124 976.92 metric ton from 2003 to 2015 and it reached its maximum of 337 000 metric ton in 2003.
