The indicator dropped sharply by 48 percent in comparison to the previous year, according to new statistics published by European Commission. Flax yarn import greatly decreased from 80 150 Euro to 41 680 Euro, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it diminished by 10.98%. It reveals the all-time minimum since 2005. Sweden saw a drop of 29.87% in flax yarn import during the last 13 years. Furthermore, it has attained a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.19% during the five years with a marginal overall increase since the 2005. It averaged 89 051.54 Euro from 2005 to 2017 and it hit its maximum of 126 350 Euro in 2010.
