Export of sugar confectionery from Dominican Republic drops in 2016

Sugar confectionery export decreased greatly by 54.34% in 2016, new figures from United Nations Statistical Office display. The variable strongly fell by 564 540 kilogram, contrarily to the previous year when it climbed by 120.57 percent. The overall changes for the prior 21 years reached a raise of 79.93%. Furthermore, it has shown the average annual growth rate of 0.04 percent over the last 5 years with a negligible overall diminution since the start of observations. It averaged 902 337.43 kilogram from 1996 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 1 810 860 kilogram in 2006 and record low of 263 596 kilogram in 1996.
