Export of synthetic staple fibres from Portugal declines in 2017

According to adjusted figures published by European Commission, in 2017 staple fibres export fell by 5.06 percent. The variable declined from 4 393 700 kilogram in 2016 to 4 171 200 kilogram previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it went down by 11.02 percent. Portugal saw a fall of 1.91% in staple fibres export over the past 13 years. Moreover, it has had an increase at a 0.01 percent compound annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a marginal overall decrease since the start of observations. It averaged 4 273 292.31 kilogram from 2005 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 4 938 100 kilogram in 2015 and record low of 3 672 100 kilogram in 2012.
