Import of fresh apricots to Canada rises in 2016

In comparison to the previous year apricots import went up by 28.39 percent, adjusted statistics from United Nations Statistical Office indicate. The indicator rose by 852 659 kilogram, contrarily to the previous year when it decreased by 28.37%. Canada saw an increase of 44.58% in apricots import during the last 28 years. Though, it has had a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.04% during the 5 years with a slight overall raise since the 1989. It averaged 3 955 773.68 kilogram from 1989 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 5 017 719 kilogram in 2008 and record low of 2 661 640 kilogram in 1991.
