Import of live carp to Europe: Increase in 2017

United Nations Statistical Office announced that in comparison to the prior year carp import strongly rose by 52.91 percent. It demonstrates the all-time maximum since 2000 as carp import climbed sharply from 694 553.31 US Dollar to 1 062 059.38 US Dollar, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it grew by 277.25 percent. Europe saw an increase of 367.55% in carp import during the last 18 years. Likewise, it has shown a growth at a 0.24 percent CAGR over the last five years with a negligible overall rise since the start of observations. It averaged 323 623.37 US Dollar from 2000 to 2017 and it hit its minimum of 42 627 US Dollar in 2009.
