Import of sanitary towels and tampons, napkins and napkin liners for babies and similar sanitary articles of wadding to Belgium decreases in 2017

According to numbers released by European Commission, the indicator dropped greatly by 49.19 percent compared with the prior year. Personal hygiene product import sharply declined from 1 527 200 kilogram to 775 900 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it fell by 11.47 percent. Belgium saw a decline of 53.45% in personal hygiene product import over the past 13 years. Besides, the personal hygiene product import is now smaller than its average which equals 1 178 861.54 kilogram and the variable pinpoints a modest overall growth since the start of observations. It attained its all-time high of 1 779 700 kilogram in 2009 and record low of 719 000 kilogram in 2007.
