Export of carded or combed silk waste from India decreases in 2017

Export of carded or combed silk waste went down by 13.38 percent compared to the previous year, according to statistics released by United Nations Statistical Office. Export of carded or combed silk waste dropped by 263 213 kilogram, in contrast to the prior year when it increased by 33.57 percent. The overall changes for the previous 30 years hit a rise of 1 600.46%. Though, it has had a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.02% over the 5 years with a negligible overall raise since the start of observations. It averaged 574 937.73 kilogram from 1988 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 1 967 581 kilogram in 2016 and record low of 539 kilogram in 1992.
