Import of fresh or chilled sardines, brisling, sprats to Dominican Republic rises in 2016

Sardines import sharply grew by 371.58% in comparison with the prior year, according to numbers released by United Nations Statistical Office. Sardines import climbed greatly by 353 US Dollar, in contrast to the previous year when it went down by 32.14 percent. Dominican Republic saw a diminution of 99.49% in sardines import over the past 16 years. Moreover, it has attained a drop at a 0.12 percent compound average annual growth rate over the last five years with a marginal overall fall since the start of observations. It averaged 6 299.56 US Dollar from 2001 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 88 000 US Dollar in 2001 and record low of 75 US Dollar in 2007.
