Palm kernel oil consumption in European Union: Stagnation in 2017

In comparison to the previous year palm kernel oil consumption remained unchanged, according to numbers released by U.S. Department of Agriculture. The palm kernel oil consumption was 660 thousand tonnes, for the 3rd consecutive year. The overall changes for the prior 19 years reached a growth of 52.07%. Besides, it has had a 0.01 percent CAGR during the last five years with a modest overall increase since the start of observations. It averaged 602.47 thousand tonnes from 1999 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 662 thousand tonnes in 2014 and record low of 434 thousand tonnes in 1999.
