Naphtha export in Canada rises in May 2018

According to adjusted numbers presented by JODI Data, the variable increased by 10.42 percent compared with the previous month. The indicator rose from 408 thousand barrels to 450.5 thousand barrels, in contrast to the prior month when it declined by 31.43%. The prior year, the variable was diminishing by -28.57 percent and attained 297.5 thousand barrels the same month in 2017. To sum up, the indicator was 51.43% larger in May 2017 than in the same month the year after. Canada saw a raise of 960% in naphtha export during the last 9 years. In comparison with its average, the naphtha export is now greater as the mean equals 369.41 thousand barrels with a strong overall increase since the start of observations. It reached its all-time high of 1 428 thousand barrels in April 2010 and record low of 25.5 thousand barrels in April 2009.
