Import of printed twill cotton containing more than 85% by weight of cotton weighing more than 200 g/m2 to Chile increases in 2017

According to data published by United Nations Statistical Office, cotton import strongly went up by 783.26 percent compared to the prior year. Cotton import increased sharply from 8 065 US Dollar in 2016 to 71 234.84 US Dollar previous year, contrarily to the prior year when it declined by 62.69 percent. The overall changes for the previous 28 years reached a growth of 491.41%. Moreover, the cotton import is now below average of 154 905.71 US Dollar and the indicator illustrates a negligible overall fall since the start of time series. It attained its all-time high of 545 929 US Dollar in 1996 and record low of 8 065 US Dollar in 2016.
