Import of horse, ass, mule, hinny meat to Switzerland: Decline in 2017

Horse meat import decreased by 6.44 percent compared with 2016, adjusted data from United Nations Statistical Office display. It's new all-time minimum since 1988 as horse meat import declined by 191 296 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it dropped by 8.32%. The overall changes for the prior 30 years attained a fall of 25.1%. As well as it has attained a decrease at a 0.08% average annual growth rate during the last five years with a slight overall drop since the start of observations. It averaged 4 210 742.83 kilogram from 1988 to 2017 and it hit its maximum of 5 003 058 kilogram in 2011.
