Iron ore production, gross weight, in Mongolia falls in 2014

Iron ore production fell by 5.15 percent in 2014, updated figures from U.S. Geological Survey illustrate. The variable decreased from 6 736 thousand tonnes in 2013 to 6 389 thousand tonnes prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it declined by 10.91%. Mongolia saw a rise of 19 260.61% in iron ore production during the last 11 years. Besides, it has shown a 0.15% compound annual growth rate over the last 5 years with a marginal overall raise since the start of observations. It averaged 2 998.14 thousand tonnes from 2004 to 2014 and it hit its all-time high of 7 561 thousand tonnes in 2012 and record low of 33 thousand tonnes in 2004.
