Fuel oil demand in China drops in June 2018

In comparison to the month before fuel oil demand diminished by 23.53%, according to updated statistics issued by JODI Data. Fuel oil demand went down by 114.86 thousand barrels per day, as it follows the tendency of the prior month when it declined by 19.65 percent. When considering the year before, it can be reported that the variable was rising by 33.49% and attained 565.93 thousand barrels per day in June. This illustrates a -34.03% shift between June 2017 and the same month one year later. China saw a diminution of 51.59% in fuel oil demand over the past 14 years. Moreover, the fuel oil demand is now below average of 680.85 thousand barrels per day with a moderate overall decline since the start of time series. It reached its all-time high of 1 181.61 thousand barrels per day in June 2004 and record low of 307.59 thousand barrels per day in September 2011.
