Import of single cotton yarn of combed fibres containing more than 85% by weight of cotton, measuring per single yarn less than 125 decitex to Portugal increases in 2017

United Nations Statistical Office published that compared to one year earlier cotton import barely rose by 3.08 percent. It attained its 30-year maximum as cotton import climbed slightly from 3 491 082 kilogram to 3 598 579.25 kilogram, in comparison with the previous year when it went down by 2.83%. Portugal saw a raise of 5 365.89% in cotton import over the past 30 years. As well as it has attained an increase at a 0.04 percent compound average annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a modest overall growth since the start of observations. It averaged 1 765 316.57 kilogram from 1988 to 2017 and it hit its minimum of 65 837 kilogram in 1988.
