Production of woven fabrics of cotton used for other clothing in Portugal: Decline in 2016

Woven cotton fabric production diminished by 21.67 percent in comparison to the prior year, according to numbers presented by European Commission. The indicator went down from 1 372.36 thousand square meters to 1 074.98 thousand square meters, compared with the previous year when it climbed by 8.66%. Portugal saw a raise of 172.88% in woven cotton fabric production over the past 12 years. Still it has attained a negative CAGR of 0.03% over the 5 years with a modest overall rise since the start of time series. It averaged 807.8 thousand square meters from 2005 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 1 800.24 thousand square meters in 2011 and record low of 183.46 thousand square meters in 2007.
