Primary petroleum products production in Mexico: Rise in May 2018

Compared to the previous month the variable negligibly went up by 1.66 percent, new statistics from JODI Data indicate. The indicator rose slightly by 1 073.99 thousand barrels, contrarily to the prior month when it fell by 1.64%. The data hit 71 993.95 thousand barrels in May 2017, which is a 3.58% change in comparison with the previous month of the same year. To sum up, the variable was -8.44 percent lower in May 2017 than in the same month the year after. Mexico saw a decrease of 31.04% in primary petroleum products production over the past 9 years. Furthermore, the primary petroleum products production is now smaller than its average which equals 83 201.65 thousand barrels with a negligible overall drop since the start of observations. It attained its all-time high of 95 579.05 thousand barrels in January 2009 and record low of 59 883.86 thousand barrels in September 2017.
