Import of suture materials, sterile surgical and dental goods to South Africa: Rise in 2017

Compared to the same time an year ago the indicator increased by 5.47 percent, revised figures from United Nations Statistical Office illustrate. The variable went up from 72 023 kilogram in 2016 to 75 959.38 kilogram previous year, contrarily to the prior year when it diminished by 12.2%. South Africa saw a raise of 130.86% in wound dressing import over the past 18 years. Though, it has had a drop at a 0.03 percent compound average annual growth rate over the 5 years with a marginal overall growth since the 2000. It averaged 60 315.97 kilogram from 2000 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 95 118 kilogram in 2011 and record low of 31 824 kilogram in 2004.
