Fuel oil demand in Italy: Decrease in May 2018

According to data released by JODI Data, in May 2018 the indicator slightly declined by 4.84%. The variable dropped hardly by 3.74 thousand barrels per day, versus the previous month when it increased by 21.63%. In May of the year before, the indicator climbed by 14.18% and attained 68.25 thousand barrels per day. Year-on-year, this indicates a 7.62% shift between May 2017 and the same month the year after. The overall changes for the prior 16 years reached a fall of 85.41%. Besides, the fuel oil demand is now smaller than its average which equals 192.42 thousand barrels per day with a moderate overall drop since the 2002. It hit its all-time high of 559.31 thousand barrels per day in February 2002 and record low of 53.53 thousand barrels per day in April 2014.
