Import of live horses except pure-bred breeding to Macedonia declines in 2017

Compared to the prior year the indicator sharply diminished by 90.99%, according to revised numbers announced by United Nations Statistical Office. The variable declined greatly from 3 330 kilogram to 300 kilogram, in comparison with the previous year when it increased by 566 percent. It hit its 24-year low. Macedonia saw a drop of 78.18% in horses import over the past 24 years. Besides, it has had a decline at a 0.36 percent compound average annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a modest overall fall since the 1994. It averaged 1 354.33 kilogram from 1994 to 2017 and it reached its maximum of 7 272 kilogram in 2004.
