Sunflower seed oil consumption in South Africa goes up in 2017

According to figures issued by U.S. Department of Agriculture, in comparison with the same time an year ago the indicator went up by 7.32 percent. The variable rose by 30 thousand tonnes, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it increased by 5.13 percent. It's the highest record ever diagnosed since 1972. South Africa saw a raise of 400% in sunflower seed oil consumption over the past 46 years. As well as it has attained a 0.03 percent compound annual growth rate over the 5 years with a marginal overall rise since the 1972. It averaged 268.2 thousand tonnes from 1972 to 2017 and it hit its minimum of 80 thousand tonnes in 1974.
