Re-export of black tea in packages less than 3 kg from Barbados goes down in 2017

Black tea export fell strongly by 78.93 percent in comparison with the previous year, adjusted numbers from United Nations Statistical Office pinpoint. The variable dropped greatly from 9 642 kilogram in 2016 to 2 032 kilogram prior year, in contrast to the previous year when it grew by 229.64%. Barbados saw a drop of 92.87% in black tea export during the last 20 years. Moreover, it has shown a decline at a 0.06% compound annual growth rate during the five years with a marginal overall fall since the start of observations. It averaged 4 446 kilogram from 1998 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 28 492 kilogram in 1998 and record low of 25 kilogram in 2004.
