Export of worked ivory and articles of ivory from Malaysia drops in 2017

Consumer goods export decreased by 14.75% in 2017, according to new statistics announced by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator dropped by 434.61 US Dollar, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it diminished by 93.03 percent. Malaysia saw a decline of 97.19% in consumer goods export during the last 29 years. Likewise, it has attained a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.44 percent during the 5 years with a marginal overall decrease since the 1989. It averaged 39 069.12 US Dollar from 1989 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 138 312 US Dollar in 1990 and record low of 196 US Dollar in 2011.
