New vehicles registrations in Puerto Rico increases in 2017

OICA announced that vehicle registration grew by 13.46 percent compared to the year before. The variable went up from 112 200 in 2016 to 127 301 previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it increased by 21.3 percent. Puerto Rico saw a diminution of 6.4% in vehicle registration during the last 13 years. Moreover, it has attained a 0.05% average annual growth rate over the 5 years with a marginal overall drop since the start of time series. It averaged 108 207.77 from 2005 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 136 000 in 2005 and record low of 75 000 in 2010.
