Import of coal except anthracite or bituminous to Belize declines in 2016

Coal import strongly dropped by 99.92% compared to the prior year, according to new statistics released by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator diminished sharply by 8 767 kilogram, versus the previous year when it increased by 12 995.52 percent. It's new all-time low since 1996. Belize saw a decline of 98.26% in coal import during the last 21 years. Furthermore, it has had a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.36% over the 5 years with a slight overall drop since the start of observations. It averaged 4 835.19 kilogram from 1996 to 2016 and it reached its maximum of 77 244 kilogram in 2000.
