Import of cocoa beans to Qatar drops in 2016

Cocoa beans import greatly went down by 81.78% compared to the previous year, new figures from United Nations Statistical Office highlight. Cocoa beans import decreased strongly from 73 368 kilogram in 2015 to 13 366 kilogram prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it declined by 30.64 percent. Qatar saw a raise of 364.9% in cocoa beans import during the last 17 years. Though, it has had a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.37% over the last 5 years with a slight overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 41 332.18 kilogram from 2000 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 319 321 kilogram in 2006 and record low of 421 kilogram in 2002.
