Import of newspapers, journals and periodicals, with less than 4 issues per week to Mauritius falls in 2016

United Nations Statistical Office reported that newspapers import diminished by 8.24% in comparison to the previous year. Newspapers import dropped from 155 481 kilogram in 2015 to 142 671 kilogram prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it fell by 15.39 percent. Mauritius saw a decrease of 41.76% in newspapers import during the last 24 years. Furthermore, it has shown a fall at a 0.13 percent CAGR over the 5 years with a negligible overall drop since the start of observations. It averaged 311 678.83 kilogram from 1993 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 547 364 kilogram in 2003 and record low of 135 660 kilogram in 1995.
