Fresh pears supply in Canada drops in 2017

The variable hardly went down by 3.13% in 2017, new numbers from Canada National Statistical Office reveal. The indicator declined slightly by 2.34 thousand tonnes, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it dropped by 6.78%. Canada saw an increase of 48.1% in fresh pears supply over the past 58 years. Though, it has shown a decline at a 0.02 percent compound annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a overall growth since the 1960. It averaged 69.41 thousand tonnes from 1960 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 93.76 thousand tonnes in 2003 and record low of 38.72 thousand tonnes in 1965.
