Stainless steel mill products and scrap imports in United States declines in 2015

Compared with the previous year the variable declined by 14.05%, according to statistics released by U.S. Geological Survey. Chromium import diminished from 242 000 metric ton to 208 000 metric ton, versus the prior year when it climbed by 19.21%. United States saw a rise of 46.48% in chromium import over the past 14 years. Furthermore, the chromium import is now bigger than its average which equals 169 557.14 metric ton and the indicator reveals a slight overall increase since the start of time series. It hit its all-time high of 242 000 metric ton in 2014 and record low of 91 800 metric ton in 2009.
