Export of capsicum from Uganda: Growth in 2016

Compared to the year before capsicum export went up sharply by 729.85 percent, according to data presented by United Nations Statistical Office. Capsicum export greatly grew by 61 337 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it rose by 1.99%. The overall changes for the previous 23 years attained a decrease of 33.72%. Moreover, it has attained the average annual growth rate of 0.48 percent during the last 5 years with a modest overall fall since the start of observations. It averaged 90 094.22 kilogram from 1994 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 666 443 kilogram in 2005 and record low of 3 551 kilogram in 2013.
