Plastic import strongly went down by 55.84 percent compared with the previous year, according to revised data presented by United Nations Statistical Office. Plastic import declined greatly by 153 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it diminished by 97.72 percent. Antigua and Barbuda saw an increase of 63.51% in plastic import during the last 18 years. However, it has attained a negative average annual growth rate of 0.53 percent during the last 5 years with a negligible overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 5 133.72 kilogram from 1999 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 26 907 kilogram in 2013 and record low of 74 kilogram in 1999.
